Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3 (ESV)

Those that call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. You belong to God. You will have good days and bad days. There will be times when you feel alone and afraid. One thing remains constant. Nothing can separate you from the love of Jesus Christ. He made you and calls you His own.

Stay the course because God is in control. You rest in His fields, and you are a part of His family. The message today is knowing that this life will throw you curveballs with your family, ups and downs with your friends, and hard turns in your future. But nothing can remove you from God's pasture. His love is persistent at all times. You are a child of God.

Keep pressing into God. (Trusting)

Keep moving towards God. (Pursuing)

Keep holding onto God....

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)

Let's just say it, the list above rolls off the tongue easily, but easy can't be said about any of the descriptions mentioned about today's verse. A better word would be "hard." Patience does not come easily to us. Celebrating those who have what we want does not come easy. Seeking the desires and best for others above ourselves is not easy.

The truth is, doing the opposite of love comes easily. Impatience is easy. Keeping a grudge is easy. Being cynical instead of hopeful is easy. Quitting is easy.

Our fallen fles...

“Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him. Luke 8:39 (ESV)

I just want to say, wow! You guys amaze me because of your boldness and your willingness to let God use you. The question I have been getting more than any other from many of you is this: what’s the best way to share the gospel with my friends?

Let’s keep this short and sweet. You don’t need every answer to every bible question ever asked. You don’t need to challenge what someone believes or look down on them. It doesn’t need to turn into a debate about who’s right and who’s wrong. You don’t have to raise your voice or battle to prove a point. Simply, share your TESTIMONY.

Tell your friends how Jesus become a part of your life. What your life looked like before Him and what your life looks wi...

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:25-26; 33 (NIV)

As a high school student, there is a lot of pressure to figure out your life pathway. It seems like counselors, parents, and other peers are asking us often, probing, "Do you know what career you want to pursue?" This is a lot of pressure for a teenager all the while trying to navigate the challenges of friends, feelings, and family.

The fact is, even as teenagers, we should be thinking about ou...

"Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes."  1 John 2:9-11 (ESV)

Have you ever had a problem with someone who also believed in the Lord or held a grudge against a brother or sister in Christ. I won’t lie about it myself; I have had many disagreements and problems with brothers or sisters in Christ. We have been called to love like God and to know that no situation or circumstance could ever take away His love for us. Jesus has left us an example to love no matter the pain other people may cause us. We must recognize that when we hold hate in our hearts for one another it only causes m...

Matthew 6:11- Give us today our daily bread. (NIV)

God provides us with what we need and what we need may not always be what we want. He knows what is best for us. What is it that you need today? Have you taken the time to ask Him for what you need? Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is unknown, but today is the day. Focus on today’s bread, and God will give us what we need for today.

He doesn’t give us more than we need, so we shouldn't try to save something for tomorrow. Today is the only day that we are currently living, and as He provides our daily bread, we should make the most of that bread. Maybe we need love, and when love is extended to us by parents or friends that shine with the face of Christ, we can’t reject it. God is giving you what you need, but often we don’t make the most of His daily bread for us because we fail to recognize Him in our everyday r...

"The Lord gave me this message: 'I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.'” Jeremiah 1:4-5  (NLT)

Before we knew, we were known. Before we thought about a career, a career was already established. Each one of us has been created by God and called to walk in His purpose for our lives. Being young, you may say to yourself, "I really don't know who I am, how can I know my purpose." You may not know yourself very well, but God does. He knows you perfectly. He knows what you are capable of and what you aren't capable of. He created you and knows everything about you.

God has a specific calling on your life, and He has created you in such a way that you can only accomplish this calling with Him. Without God, you will fail miserably.

We can only get to know our true...

“Say to the daughter of Zion,‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’” Matthew 21:5 (ESV)

The final start, a man, clothed in humility, a smile radiant with love, eyes fixed on eternity, flesh prepared for stripes, the steady rhythm of hooves, and a wave of voices singing his praise — me a guilty bystander, admiring the presence of a man that knew my name. I’m a far way off, but I have decided to place myself within His story, knowing that I’m a contributor to his wounds. Alive by his grace; I saw his aim, his intentionality not easily missed. Longing for freedom (deliverance from sin) leaked from his pores, and peaceful justice resting in his hands. What manner of man enters Jerusalem ready for death but pointing towards victory?

Jesus entered Jerusalem knowing His time was limited and He s...

"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35 (NIV)

When God created us, He had in mind the notion of giving. We were created out of love and love gives. Love doesn't seek to preserve self or store up for one's self. Love seeks to give away. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave..." Love proceeds giving and giving is inspired by love.

When we live a consumeristic life of always taking, we lessen our true selves. We distort the image of God within us. We were made to give, and only a lifestyle of giving reveals the giving God within us. Jesus said about his mission, "...Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28...

"And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, 'If you will, you can make me clean.' Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, 'I will; be clean.' And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean."
— Mark 1:40-42

Back in this time, leprosy was a horrible disease to get. If you had leprosy, you would have to go around yelling to the people of the city “I have leprosy!” What if we had to shout through the streets of Morgantown something horrible that we are going through? This man felt like a complete outcast in society and was actually sent to the outskirts of the city. His condition of leprosy was probably in horrible shape. Leprosy would deteriorate your skin to a point where it would peel off your body and even causes your nose and lips to fall off. This disease was both physically and emotio...

We believe the only life worth living is the “uncommon” life that results from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We encourage our youth to experience this life through a daily time with Jesus,  worship, ministry, and prayer.
