Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus was living among us, beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.” Acts 1:21-22
This was a very important decision to be made by the disciples. Many times in life we make decisions that can affect us for the rest of our lives. Some of those decisions we make are good and some are bad. The best thing to do before making a decision is to pray about it. Ask God for wisdom and clarity to make the right decision. The disciples took time to pray and evaluated those who were close to them during Jesus’s time on earth. Do you evaluate your friends based off how much time they spend with God? Man! Our friends would change if we based our friendships on those who made good decisions and served God. Today, take time to pray and evaluate whether or not your friends are moving you closer to God or further away.
