"For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus. 20 And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, 'He is the Son of God.' 21 And all who heard him were amazed and said, 'Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?' 22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ." Acts 9:19-22
Saul is a prime example of God’s Grace. Saul had a deep hate towards anyone who followed Jesus and took his hatred as far as murdering anyone proclaiming the Good News. After an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, Saul was no longer the man he was before he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. When we have accepted Jesus into our lives, our past does not need to be a concern as well. When we accept Jesus, we also accept His forgiveness. Spreading the Good News that Jesus has to offer each and every one of us can start with witnessing how our very lives have changed as a result. Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins. We are a truly forgiven people just as Saul was forgiven. People saw the change in Saul by the way he lived. Do we show our change by the way we live? In today’s world, others see us through our actions, not just words. Even in the music we choose, the clothing we wear, the movies we watch, and how we act around the company we keep, others should be able to see the change that Christ has made in us. We all must know that the Bible will guide you on how to teach and defend our faith, but your life should back your words and actions. Starting today, think daily how Jesus has changed your life and share His story and yours with someone. Blessings!
