Mark 14:35-36- Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” (NIV)
Go a little further today, a step towards God and speak to Him. Today is your day, as you read this make it a point to spend time with God and call to Him “Abba, Father,” help me to do your will. Father, reveal your will to me by your Spirit that is present in my soul, by your word as I read it, and Lord speak to my heart as I pray to you. It’s not just another devotional time today. It’s about God and you becoming closer in a relationship. A step towards Him not just in a physical sense, but let your mind be more focused on Him, your ears attentive ready to receive, submit a moment to God right now. Take time and surrender to Him. “Abba, Father,” we call to you today, we are surrendering our bodies, our hearts, and our minds to you right now for your will to be done. God have your way in our lives, help us to submit our words, our actions, and our thoughts to you. Lord if we are obedient to you, I know you hear our cry. You turn your ear towards those that are pursuing righteousness. Lord, we can understand best when we say nothing at all. My! How powerful it is to spend time in silence with the Lord. Surrender today and listen for the Lord in all your activities of the day and allow His will to be done. It’s the best thing for us. In Jesus name, Amen.
