"Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable? You are to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails." Jeremiah 15:18 (NIV)
Often, we are like Jeremiah, we accuse God of not helping us when we truly need it. We can feel that He is not listening, seeing, hearing what we ask of Him. It is easy to turn from God in order to do our will instead of His. When things don’t go our way, we can find ourselves angry with God, wanting to turn from Him instead of in His direction, the right direction. When we wander away, we become vulnerable to the enemy. Be careful not to be encouraged to turn from God by worldly advice. There is plenty out there, in the news, schools, social media, and among our friends daily. God has chosen each and every one of us to be his mouth piece here on earth. We must not allow ungodly people to influence how we should live; rather we should take care to guide them to a life that is Christ like. We need to pray daily and listen to what God’s will is for us. Pay attention daily and trust in the Lord’s message for you. Finally, go out and influence others for God.
