Song of Solomon 2:7- Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right. (NLT)
Feelings of love can create emotions that overpower reality. As young people, we are too often controlled by our feelings and hurry into intimate relationships based off of strong feelings. Here's a secret that can help us all out, feelings aren't enough to support a lasting relationship. Don’t force a relationship because you have strong feelings. Often relationships move faster than they should because of emotion, and we end up with regret or brokenhearted. Dating isn’t all about feeling or physical lust. It’s about finding someone that God has ordained for you and developing a love that lasts together. Patiently wait for love don’t rushing into a relationship because your feelings control you. Seek God as your dating that boyfriend you have had for two years. Seek God as you talk to that girl because of your physical attraction to her. Feelings are the start of love, but they do not complete love. Seek more than just the feelings of love. Seek Gods approval, and He will never steer you wrong.
