Boldness Over Excuse
Jeremiah 1:4-10-The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
God see’s you as valuable, and He had made plans for you long before you were even born. Jeremiah thought he was too young, but God used Him. God doesn’t eliminate the life storms that occur, but He walks through them with us and rescues us when we need to be saved. The Lord is reaching His hand out towards you, and He extends strength, love, peace, grace, hope, and wisdom. He is the supplier and we are the ones in demand. We can stock our hearts full of the gifts that come from the Lord. God wants to use you. He can’t use excuses. Be willing to let the Lord use you. Just because you are in middle school or high school doesn’t mean that God doesn’t want to use you. When we surrender our lives to the Lord that makes us able to be used for His glory. Seek God in all you do and you will be able to recognize the moments when He wants to use you.
Father, I pray today that you would empower each young person that reads this to walk boldly in who you have created them to be. God help us all to surrender more and more to you each and everyday. Use them Lord to bring glory to your name and to spread the good news of salvation. I pray that your Kingdom come and your will be done in Jesus name, Amen.
