See Him

March 16, 2017

Acts 9:1-6- As he was approaching Damascus on this mission, a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”  “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

God will knock you off your high horse to get your attention. Maybe you have been injured in a sport, experienced a death of a close family member, or always feel like bad things are happening to you. Maybe God is trying to get your attention. He is not making those bad things happen, but in the midst of those bad things He is wanting you to look to Him so He can help you. He wants you to change your focus and live for Him, but your being stubborn and won’t change. God will get your attention and you will know it was Him. The Bible says that all are without excuse because they have clearly seen all that God has created and done. Stop running from God, change your direction, and run to Him. You will still face struggles, but with God in your life, you have more than hope, you have eternal life. You will live forever in heaven with Him. Quit fighting battles on your own that you can’t win and allow God to have His way in your life and fight the battles with you. He will be your strength in times of weakness.
