"But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded. As soon as (King) Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded, he took courage and put away the detestable idols from all the land of Judah..." 2 Chronicles 15:7-8a (ESV)
The Ancient king of Judah, Asa, was passionate to serve the LORD. He proved His passion by obeying the voice of God through the prophet Azariah. Instead of letting fear determine his actions, he trusted God.
In response to Azariah's words, King Asa had all the detestable idols in his lands destroyed and held a large worship service to honor God and show their reliance upon Him. He even went as far as to remove his mother as queen because she was worshiping the pagan gods of the neighboring peoples (2 Chronicles 15:16).
What are you willing to do to obey God's commands? What "things" are so sacred that you will only follow Jesus as long as those "things" are not challenged. What makes your hands weak? Asa didn't even let one of the most intimate of relationships (mother) get in the way of His devotion to God.
Ask Jesus to search your heart and reveal any idols that are getting in the way of your relationship with Him. Ask Him to "strengthen your hands" and give you the courage to get rid of those things. You will be rewarded with a fullness that only comes from making Jesus the only ONE you worship.
