"Now may the God of peace—who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus...and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21 (NLT)
So often, because of our weaknesses and failures, we believe God can't use us. We believe that we are just not talented enough, smart enough, or popular enough. My question to that line of thinking is, where did we get such ideas? Who told us those things? Oh, that's right, finite, broken people who believe the very same things about themselves. Sorry about the sarcasm.
When it comes to accomplishing God's will, we should listen to the God who fashioned us perfectly because only He has the ability to perform it. Now, of course, we can't do this by ourselves; but the same God who made a dead Jesus alive again can surely strengthen and bless our bodies and souls to accomplish His plan and purposes.
We are all weak and inadequate in many areas because sin permeates our lives and the world, but those who hope in Jesus are infused with His resurrection life that overcomes weaknesses and failures. God produces good in us as we walk with Jesus and when this happens, He is pleased.
Trust that God has equipped you with all that you need to live for Him victoriously, and don't listen to the "haters." He has made you a promise with His own blood. This blood washes you clean and the Holy Spirit gives what you need to live the victorious, abundant Life.
