Psalm 150:6- Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
It’s not uncommon to be awakened by birds singing in the spring or hear an owl on a summer night around a bonfire. I think of those moments and have realized over time that all living things can make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The trees and flowers aim their bloom and leaves towards heaven as a form of worship. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. God gives us every breath and for that He is worthy to be praised. In a way, the book of Psalms parallels our spiritual journey through life. We have all been presented a choice. We can choose to live in a way that moves towards eternal life or decide to live in a way that leads to death. Choosing to live to gain eternal life doesn’t eliminate troubles, grief, or hardship we will face. Even through those things will happen we have eternal hope. There is divine direction, shelter, and encouragement in living for the Lord. As we remain faithful, it becomes more apparent that living for Jesus is the right choice. He has given us eternal life and breath in our lungs, and for that, we should praise Him every single day. If you slow down and listen, you can distinguish the sounds that are being made for the world and the sounds that are praising our God. Today and every day be one of the sounds that are praising God.
