Matthew 6:12 - And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
The world is messy and even though we have taken the bath of salvation. The dirt of the world will still get on us. Often we encounter dirt and sin by dealing with people. We are created to have relationships, but relationships can be messy. When we as people have faults and imperfections. We gossip about one another and hold grudges against each other. We will even disappoint each other. We find it hard to forgive one another, but we still expect God to forgive us. The Lord’s prayer says, “ forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who have trespassed against us.” For us to be forgiven by God, we must forgive those that have sinned against us. We all fall short of God’s glory daily. We go to Him seeking forgiveness, and He forgives us. If we are to live like Christ, why wouldn’t we extend that same forgiveness towards others that have wronged us? Today forgive those that have wronged you. Christ forgives us when we wrong Him.
