To me, these verses scream obedience and action. It’s not enough to just accept a passage of scripture and not apply it to our lives. We are to live out the scriptures and to put them into action in our lives. Obedience leads to blessing, and it is pleasing to God when we obey His word.
None of us are perfect, but God is not asking for perfection. He wants a relationship with you, and we show that we care when we obey our heavenly Father. Have you heard a word at church or read a scripture and knew it was aimed directly at your life? Often it’s easy to receive those words, but difficult to put them into practice in your life. For these words to become an evident part of our lives, it’s a process. It’s time to enjoy the process. Receive. Apply. Practice. Live. Receive the word of God. Apply the word of God to your life. Practice the word of God. Live it! It becomes a part of your everyday life. The process takes time, but once we receive the word of God, the process should begin.

PRAYER: Lord today gives us responsive eyes and ears to receive your word. Lord give us a tender heart to apply and download your word into our lives. Father allow our spiritual strength to drive us into practicing your word in the world. Lord help us to live out your word so that others may see your glory. In Jesus Name. Amen!
