Trust Abide Obey
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6 (NIV)
Sometimes it can be tough to have faith when everything in your life seems like a struggle, or it looks like something might work out, but then it doesn’t. Be encouraged today that even in the midst of your hardship God is on the move. He is always at work in your life whether you know it or not. When we trust, abide, and obey it’s possible to see God’s movement and our spiritual growth.
It can be difficult to see God’s movement when all we focus on is the trail or the struggle instead of our relationship with Christ. Jesus didn’t die so that we could all be saved from trails, but He did die for the sin of the world. Trials will always be apart of this life here on earth. We are to trust God by leaning into a deeper relationship with Him.
Abide by keeping a quiet time with Him. Where we let Him talk and we listen. Abide by reading His word daily. This is not some legal obligation, but this is about doing life with God. We are making our relationship with Him a priority that goes before all other priorities.
Our obedience is the evidence of our faith. We are seen as choosing what Christ wants for our lives versus what our friends want or what society says we have to be. We identify with Jesus, and our obedience to Him is seen by those that are around us, and they see what relationship means the most to us. We are the face of Christ when we obey our heavenly Father. Obeying is surrendering daily to God’s will and our own.
God is on the move, and you will see His movement as you trust, abide, and obey.
Lord, I trust you even as hardship remains in my life. You are the One I depend on. I abide today by letting you be the voice speaking into my life. Help me be obedient today so the world may see you. Amen.
