The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NIV
Jesus Himself walked steps in a real body with a heart and bones as His structure. He felt like we feel and hurt like we hurt. Jesus not only knew pain, but He bore all our pain. He knows what you are feeling in every moment of every day. Christ went the distance and carried the the weight that we couldn’t.
He didn’t forget that pain, and He also shares with you in yours. His heart breaks when your’s breaks. You can’t always see Him, but He sees you in whatever condition you are in. He still dwells among us through the Holy Spirit. You are never alone because Jesus didn’t come so that you would have more pain. He came to take your pain. You may have momentary afflictions and temporary pains, but you never have to walk through that pain alone. He is with you and He is for you. He walked in pain for us and He walks in our pain with us.
Jesus dwell within me at all times. Help me to identify you in my pain for you are my strength. Be with me when I feel lonely. Help me to rely on your truth and not my feelings. Amen.
