Roots In My Bones
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2 (NIV)
You ever pour your heart into something and feel like nothing good is coming from it? Like it’s a good thing you are doing, but you aren’t currently seeing any results. All who speak to you about your efforts only discourage you even if they don’t mean to. What do you do? Do you stop doing what you feel God has instructed you to do? We must continue to stand with God. Let Psalm 18:2 be live to your soul today and speak the truth that roots itself in your bones.
There are a ton of times in life where the results of what God has asked you to do won’t be seen until God is ready to use them in His plan. God is for us, but our will does not always line up with His. We can have good intentions, but we are usually looking out for ourselves. That’s what is amazing about God, even as we look out for ourselves. He looks out for us better than we can and for the benefit of others to bring the Gospel to the world.
God is always on time. We may have to wait, but I believe the more significant the wait, the bigger the blessing. Continue to be faithful with all that God has asked you to do. Don’t overemphasize the result when the process is what we should enjoy. We don’t serve God for the blessing. We serve God for the relationship and the loving sacrifice He made for us. He is the source of Life. It takes courage to follow God, and you will be encouraged when you stand firm in the plans God has planned for you.
Lord, I declare today that you are my foundation. Hold me in your hands, I pray. Amen.
