Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:
“Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion;
see, your king is coming,
seated on a donkey’s colt.” John 12:14-15 (NIV)
No matter the odds you face, can you still see victory in Jesus? Have you ever wrecked your vehicle and felt like your parents were going to be mad at you forever? Have you ever went through a fight with your best friend or been lost after a hard break up? Then there is that honors class that you're taking that seems like the only option is failure.
When we are in the middle of a struggle it can be difficult to see the end in sight. Sometimes we feel like we can see the end and it doesn't look good. Remember, God is still in control and on His throne. On the cross Jesus was facing death but was still able to see the victory of the resurrection. You may say that was easy for Him because He is Jesus. It wasn't His sight that made the difference, it was is faith in His Heavenly Father.
Have faith that Jesus is on your side. The end result may not look hopeful, but God has the final say. Fix your eyes on Jesus and ask Him to be in control. He will complete the good work He starts in all of us. As Jesus was carried by a donkey, His eyes were set on victory. Today, Jesus carries us to victory.
Father, carry me this day. I fix my eyes on you and my victory is in you.
