Testimony

“Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him. Luke 8:39 (ESV)

I just want to say, wow! You guys amaze me because of your boldness and your willingness to let God use you. The question I have been getting more than any other from many of you is this: what’s the best way to share the gospel with my friends?

Let’s keep this short and sweet. You don’t need every answer to every bible question ever asked. You don’t need to challenge what someone believes or look down on them. It doesn’t need to turn into a debate about who’s right and who’s wrong. You don’t have to raise your voice or battle to prove a point. Simply, share your TESTIMONY.

Tell your friends how Jesus become a part of your life. What your life looked like before Him and what your life looks with Him. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and honest. People appreciate someone that is always real versus someone that is always right. Don’t preach a sermon, but instead tell your story. People forget information, but a story allows people to hold onto a memory that you have just painted for them by sharing. Last but not least, remember that your story should be more about God and less about you.

Prayer

Father place someone in my life to share my testimony with. Amen.
