Less for More
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (ESV)
Have you ever prayed for less pain, less stress, less trouble, and less drama? God could you please make it stop. One thing I am learning is that God’s heart breaks because of His children’s pain. His love is unconditional, and His love is not bound to circumstances. He is always pursuing us.
Today we could ask for less struggle or more of God. I’m choosing to believe that God’s love for you is more significant than your hardships. Instead of suffering through circumstance let’s embrace the love of Christ. There will always be struggles in life, but the love of Christ is greater than any battle. Choose to rest in the love of Christ. It doesn’t mean that our problems go away, but it does open us up to find peace in our everlasting God. That peace is also eternal. While our trials may be momentary, the love and peace of God is forever, and that’s worth resting in.
God have mercy on me. I choose more of you today. Amen.
